1014c49881 sched: add supplementary group IDs (setgroups/getgroups/initgroups)
Track supplementary GIDs per task group, wire setgroups/getgroups
syscalls when CONFIG_SCHED_NGROUPS > 0, and honor them in DAC checks
via nxsched_has_gid(). When NGROUPS is 0, libc provides getgroups/
setgroups stubs. initgroups() fails instead of silently truncating
when membership exceeds CONFIG_SCHED_NGROUPS.

64b6bbb0c0 sched/Kconfig: Fix ETC_ROMFS dependency
When using FS_CROMFS for etc, user typically don't need FS_ROMFS,
they are completely separate filesystems. But both ETC_ROMFS and
ETC_CROMFS are needed, the first one selects that the ETC needs
to be mounted from ROM based filesystem, and ETC_CROMFS just specifies
that the backing filesystem is actually the CROMFS.

Iow; make ETC_ROMFS depend on FS_ROMFS || FS_CROMFS, so that the
user can drop FS_ROMFS when only FS_CROMFS is needed.

c6654b1106 !sched/clock: remove CONFIG_SYSTEM_TIME64 and always use 64-bit time
The 32-bit system clock has a limited range (~497 days) and the
configuration knob is no longer worth the complexity given that
practically every modern target already enables it. Make 64-bit
time_t/clock_t/sclock_t/nuttx_time_t the only supported flavor.

Specifically:
  - Drop the SYSTEM_TIME64 Kconfig option and its dependent
    PERF_OVERFLOW_CORRECTION/HRTIMER guards in sched/Kconfig.
  - Remove every #ifdef CONFIG_SYSTEM_TIME64 branch in headers
    (include/{sys/types.h,limits.h,inttypes.h,nuttx/clock.h,
    nuttx/fs/hostfs.h}) and core code paths
    (sched/clock/clock.h, drivers/power/pm/pm_procfs.c,
    drivers/rpmsg/rpmsg_ping.c, fs/procfs/fs_procfsuptime.c,
    libs/libc/wqueue/work_usrthread.c,
    arch/avr/src/avrdx/avrdx_timerisr_tickless_alarm.c).
  - Strip CONFIG_SYSTEM_TIME64=y from every board defconfig.
  - Update Documentation/guides/rust.rst accordingly.

48db502daf !boards: Remove NSH_ARCHINIT and board_app_initialize
BREAKING: In an effort to simplify NuttX initialization, NSH_ARCHINIT is
removed. board_app_initialize is also removed. BOARD_LATE_INITIALIZE now
performs all board initialization logic, and is by default enabled. All
references to these symbols are removed. BOARDIOC_INIT remains, but will
result in -ENOTTY when called. It is to be removed in a later commit.

Quick fix: Boards relying on NSH_ARCHINIT should now enable
CONFIG_BOARD_LATE_INITIALIZE instead. If the application needs
fine-grained control over board initialization from userspace, the logic
performed by BOARDIOC_INIT may be copied to the board_finalinitialize
function and used instead via BOARDIOC_FINALINIT. All
board_app_initialize logic provided by NuttX is now moved to
board_late_initialize, and the same should be done for out-of-tree
boards.

faf864b04f sched/signal: Add support for disabling all signal functions
Signals in NuttX serve two primary purposes:

      1. Synchronization and wake-up:
        Signals can be used to block threads on specific signal sets and later
        wake them up by delivering the corresponding signals to those threads.

      2. Asynchronous notification:
        Signals can also be used to install callback handlers for specific signals, allowing threads to
        asynchronously invoke those handlers when the signals are delivered.

    This change introduces the ability to disable all signal functionality to reduce footprint for NuttX.

0ea686bc5b sched/signal: Add support for partially disabling signals
Signals in NuttX serve two primary purposes:

    1. Synchronization and wake-up:
    Signals can be used to block threads on specific signal sets and later
    wake them up by delivering the corresponding signals to those threads.

    2. Asynchronous notification:
    Signals can also be used to install callback handlers for specific signals, allowing threads to
    asynchronously invoke those handlers when the signals are delivered.

This change introduces the ability to partially disable signal functionality: to disable only signal functions for
Asynchronous notification, keeping functions for Synchronization and wake-up.
This enables finer-grained control over signal usage while preserving existing behavior for supported use cases.

752a405f86 sched/clock: support using CLOCKFD to call clock_adjtime
This patch implements clock_adjtime() with CLOCKFD support, enabling
precise time and frequency adjustments for PTP clocks through the
standard POSIX clock API.

Key changes include:

1. New clock_adjtime() system call:
   - Added sched/clock/clock_adjtime.c implementation
   - Provides POSIX-compliant time adjustment interface
   - Supports both standard clocks and CLOCKFD-based dynamic clocks
   - Added CONFIG_CLOCK_ADJTIME Kconfig option

2. CLOCKFD support in clock_adjtime():
   - Detects CLOCKFD-encoded clockids via CLOCKFD_TO_FD() check
   - Extracts file descriptor and validates through fs_getfilep()
   - Issues PTP_CLOCK_ADJTIME ioctl to underlying PTP clock device
   - Returns clock status and adjustment results via struct timex

3. Enhanced struct timex support:
   - Extended include/sys/timex.h with additional ADJ_* flags
   - Added ADJ_OFFSET, ADJ_FREQUENCY, ADJ_MAXERROR, ADJ_ESTERROR
   - Added ADJ_STATUS, ADJ_TIMECONST, ADJ_TAI, ADJ_SETOFFSET
   - Added ADJ_MICRO, ADJ_NANO for time unit selection
   - Added STA_* status flags for clock state reporting

4. Clock operations supported:
   - ADJ_SETOFFSET: Apply time offset adjustment
   - ADJ_FREQUENCY: Adjust clock frequency (PPM)
   - ADJ_MAXERROR: Set maximum error estimate
   - ADJ_ESTERROR: Set estimated error
   - ADJ_STATUS: Modify clock status bits
   - ADJ_NANO: Use nanosecond resolution
   - ADJ_SETOFFSET: Set absolute time offset

5. API declarations:
   - Added clock_adjtime() prototype in include/nuttx/clock.h
   - Enabled by CONFIG_CLOCK_ADJTIME configuration
   - Compatible with Linux clock_adjtime() interface

Usage example:
  int fd = open("/dev/ptp0", O_RDWR);
  struct timex tx = {0};
  tx.modes = ADJ_FREQUENCY;
  tx.freq = 10000000;  /* Adjust frequency by 10 PPM */
  clock_adjtime(CLOCKFD(fd), &tx);
  close(fd);

This completes the PTP clock framework's POSIX clock API integration,
providing comprehensive time control capabilities for precision timing
applications including PTP synchronization daemons (ptp4l, timemaster).

ed1cb6f9b8 sched/hrtimer: Add high-resolution timer support for NuttX
NuttX provides the wdog module to implement timers for the scheduler.
While it is lightweight and efficient, wdog only supports tick-level timers,
typically in milliseconds. Although the tick duration can be configured,
setting it to microsecond or nanosecond resolution is not practical.
Doing so may cause an interrupt storm, where the CPU is constantly
occupied handling tick interrupts.

To address this limitation, a new hrtimer module is introduced.
It coexists with the wdog module, providing both tick-level timers
for wdog and high-resolution timers (nanosecond-level) directly to users.
