Align the NuttX open(2) flag constants with the Linux asm-generic
values so that the FUSE wire protocol and other cross-platform
interfaces work without conversion.
All code that used '(flags & O_RDONLY)' as a bitmask check (always 0
now that O_RDONLY=0) has been updated to use '(flags & O_ACCMODE)'
comparisons.
The NUTTX_O_* constants in include/nuttx/fs/hostfs.h are updated to
match, and the sim hostfs open flag mapping is fixed.

Every compiler supported by NuttX provides the "long long" types,
so the CONFIG_HAVE_LONG_LONG indirection is no longer useful.
Remove the option from include/nuttx/compiler.h and treat
"long long" as unconditionally available across the OS.
In addition to deleting the guard itself, this commit unconditionally
enables the long-long flavored helpers that used to be gated behind
it:
- libs/libc/fixedmath: drop the soft-emulated b32/ub32 routines
in lib_fixedmath.c (-261 lines) and trim the matching
prototypes, Make.defs and CMakeLists.txt entries; keep only
the long-long backed implementations.
- include/sys/endian.h, include/strings.h, libs/libc/string
/lib_ffsll.c, lib_flsll.c: always expose the 64-bit byte-swap
and ffsll/flsll variants.
- libs/libm/libm/lib_llround{,f,l}.c: drop the empty stubs.
- libs/libc/stdlib (atoll, llabs, lldiv, strtoll/ull, rand48,
strtold), libs/libc/stream (libvsprintf, libvscanf,
libbsprintf, ultoa_invert), libs/libc/misc (crc64, crc64emac),
libs/libc/inttypes/strtoimax, libs/libc/lzf, libs/libc/libc.csv,
libs/libc/string (memset, vikmemcpy): remove the
#ifdef CONFIG_HAVE_LONG_LONG branches.
- include/{stddef.h,stdlib.h,fixedmath.h,sys/epoll.h,cxx/cstdlib,
nuttx/audio/audio.h,nuttx/crc64.h,nuttx/lib/math.h,
nuttx/lib/math32.h,nuttx/lib/stdbit.h}: same guard cleanup.
- drivers/note/note_driver.c, fs/spiffs/src/spiffs.h,
sched/irq/irq_procfs.c: drop their local guards as well.
- Documentation/applications/netutils/ntpclient/index.rst:
refresh the documentation snippet.

debug.h is a NuttX-specific, non-POSIX header. Placing it in the
top-level include/ directory creates naming conflicts with external
projects that define their own debug.h.
This commit moves the canonical header to include/nuttx/debug.h,
following the NuttX convention for non-POSIX/non-standard headers,
and updates all in-tree references.
A backward-compatibility shim is left at include/debug.h that
emits a deprecation #warning and re-includes <nuttx/debug.h>,
allowing out-of-tree code to continue building while migrating.

Previously, IRQ bounds checking (irq >= 0 && irq < NR_IRQS) was duplicated
across multiple IRQ subsystem functions before calling IRQ_TO_NDX(). This
led to code duplication and inconsistency.
This patch consolidates all IRQ bounds checking into the IRQ_TO_NDX() macro
itself, which now returns -EINVAL for out-of-bounds IRQ numbers. This approach:
1. Eliminates duplicated bounds checking code
2. Ensures consistent error handling across all IRQ functions
3. Simplifies caller code - just check if IRQ_TO_NDX() returns negative
4. Makes the macro behavior more predictable and self-contained
Changes:
- Modified IRQ_TO_NDX() to check (irq < 0 || irq >= NR_IRQS) and return -EINVAL
- Removed redundant IRQ range checks in irq_attach(), irq_attach_thread(),
irq_attach_wqueue(), and irqchain_detach()
- Simplified error handling to check ndx < 0 after IRQ_TO_NDX() call
This consolidation reduces code size and improves maintainability while
preserving all existing error checking functionality.

IRQ_TO_NDX() returns int (can be negative on error), but was assigned
to unsigned int variable 'ndx', violating MISRA C-2012 Rule 10.3.
This also improves the condition check: instead of checking 'irq >= 0 && irq < NR_IRQS',
we now check 'ndx >= 0' which properly handles the error case where IRQ_TO_NDX()
returns a negative error code.
Changes:
- Change 'ndx' type from unsigned int to int
- Simplify condition from 'irq >= 0 && irq < NR_IRQS' to 'ndx >= 0'
This ensures type correctness and proper error handling.

IRQ_TO_NDX() may return a negative value when the IRQ number is invalid
or not mapped. Using this negative value directly as an array index for
g_irqvector causes undefined behavior and potential memory corruption.
This patch adds a bounds check to ensure ndx is non-negative before
accessing the g_irqvector array, returning the error code if invalid.

Release g_irqchainlock before calling irq_detach to avoid holding two locks
simultaneously, which can cause thread deadlock.
The irqchain_detach function was calling irq_detach while holding g_irqchainlock,
and irq_detach attempts to acquire g_irqlock. This lock ordering violation could
lead to deadlock in multithreaded scenarios.
Fix:
- Move spin_unlock_irqrestore(&g_irqchainlock, flags) before irq_detach call
- Ensure locks are released in proper order to prevent circular wait
This is part of the irq_chain_lock feature for safer IRQ chain handling.

This patch fixes a Coverity issue where static objects that are only referenced
within a single function should be declared in block scope rather than file scope.
This improves code encapsulation and reduces global namespace pollution.
Changes:
- Moved 'g_irqchainpool[]' from file-level static variable to function-level
static variable within irqchain_initialize()
This ensures compliance with MISRA C-2012 Rule 8.9 which states: 'An object
should be declared in block scope if its identifier is only referenced within
one function.' The change improves code clarity, maintainability, and follows
best practices for variable scoping.
Benefits:
- Reduces file-level namespace pollution
- Improves code encapsulation
- Makes the scope of the variable immediately obvious
- Maintains static storage duration for the array

This patch fixes a Coverity issue where implicit casting from signed int to
unsigned int could lead to unexpected behavior. The fix replaces the implicit
cast with an explicit unsigned literal suffix to ensure type safety.
Changes:
- In irqchain_attach(): Changed comparison 'sq_count(&g_irqchainfreelist) < 2'
to 'sq_count(&g_irqchainfreelist) < 2u' to use explicit unsigned literal
This ensures compliance with MISRA C-2012 Rule 10.4 which prohibits implicit
conversions between signed and unsigned types. This change prevents potential
integer conversion issues and improves code correctness.
